Metro 2 account status code 94: foreclosure completed
The foreclosure is finished: the lender or a buyer at the sale took the property to resolve the defaulted mortgage. Depending on what the sale brought in and on state law, a deficiency balance may still be owed. A payment rating goes with this status.
How it shows on your report
"Foreclosure" or "Foreclosure completed," usually with FC or a similar symbol in the grid.
How it affects your score
One of the most serious negatives on a report. Mortgage programs also impose waiting periods after a foreclosure before a new loan.
What to check
Make sure a short sale or deed in lieu isn't mislabeled as a foreclosure, since mortgage programs use different waiting periods for each. Compare the foreclosure date with your records. If the sale covered the debt or your state bars a deficiency, the balance should be zero.
