Metro 2 account status code 71: 30 to 59 days past due
The account is one payment behind: at least 30 but fewer than 60 days past the due date as of this update. Lenders report the account in 30-day bands, and this is the first band that counts as late.
How it shows on your report
"30 days late" or "Past due 30," with a 30 in that month's box on the payment grid.
How it affects your score
Late payments are among the most damaging items in payment history. FICO looks at how late, how recent and how many, so each step further behind generally hurts more. No one can tell you an exact point drop.
What to check
Check the month against your statements and bank records. A 30-day late means a payment went a full 30 days past its due date, so if you paid within 30 days that month, the late shouldn't be there. The amount past due should roughly equal one missed payment, not several.
