Metro 2 account status code 82: 120 to 149 days past due
The account is four payments behind: at least 120 but fewer than 150 days past the due date as of this update. By this point many accounts are close to being charged off, sent to collections or, for a mortgage, referred to foreclosure. The lender is still reporting it as a delinquent account rather than a collection.
How it shows on your report
"120 days late" or "Past due 120," with 120 in the grid. Some bureau keys lump 120 and beyond together.
How it affects your score
Late payments are among the most damaging items in payment history. FICO looks at how late, how recent and how many, so each step further behind generally hurts more. No one can tell you an exact point drop.
What to check
A delinquency can only age about 30 days per month, so this status should follow a 90-day status in the month before, not a current month. Compare the amount past due to your missed payments: at this stage it should roughly equal four missed payments. If you paid within 30 days of the due date that month, the late shouldn't be there at all.
