Metro 2 special comment code V: adjustment pending
A credit or adjustment is in process, such as a refund for returned merchandise. The remark tells a reader that the balance may change soon. This describes a temporary condition, so it should drop off once the adjustment posts to the account.
How it shows on your report
A remark like "Adjustment pending."
How it affects your score
Neutral. The balance reported may be higher than it will be once the adjustment posts.
What to check
Once the refund or credit posts, the remark should come off and the balance should drop by the amount you were owed. If it lingers for months, or the balance never changes, ask the lender to update it and send your return receipt.
