Metro 2 special comment code O: transferred to another lender
The account was transferred to another lender, which should report it going forward. It shows up when a loan's ownership moves, such as a mortgage sold to a new company. The old tradeline should close out, and the history continues under the new company's name.
How it shows on your report
A remark like "Account transferred" or "Transferred to another lender."
How it affects your score
Neutral.
What to check
The old lender should show $0 owed, and the new lender should show the balance. Two tradelines with the same open balance mean the debt is counted twice. Payments you sent to the old company during the changeover shouldn't be reported late by either one.
