Metro 2 special comment code BN: paid by the original seller
The account was paid by the company that originally sold you the merchandise, such as a dealer. Furnisher software allows it only with a paid status and a $0 balance. It often shows up after a trade-in, when the dealer pays off the old loan as part of the new deal.
How it shows on your report
A remark like "Paid by company which originally sold the merchandise."
How it affects your score
Neutral to positive. Any earlier delinquency still counts.
What to check
Balance and past due should be $0. Check that the payoff date matches the dealer's records, especially after a trade-in. If the dealer paid late and the final month shows a late, dispute it with the payoff proof from the deal paperwork.
