Metro 2 special comment code AX: paid from collateral
The balance was paid off using the collateral securing the account, such as a savings account pledged against a share-secured loan. It shows the debt was cleared by the security rather than by regular payments. Furnisher software allows it only with a paid status and a $0 balance.
How it shows on your report
A remark like "Account paid from collateral."
How it affects your score
Shows the debt was paid; any delinquency before that still counts.
What to check
Balance and past due should be $0. If you paid the loan normally and it shows paid from collateral, ask the lender to correct it, since the remark suggests the loan defaulted.
